Park City sets a huge table for ‘Savor the Summit’

Salt Lake Tribune

Kathy Stephenson

Enjoy food, wine and Jazz music from the largest dinner table ever set in Park City during “Savor the Summit” June 20 and 21.

This new event adds a dining component to Park City’s already popular Jazz Summit, which brings educators, musicians and jazz enthusiasts to the mountain resort for workshops, lectures and concerts.

The Grande Table will be June 20 from 6 to 10 p.m. A several-blocks-long dining table will be set in the middle of Park City’s Main street. Dinner will be served al fresco with jazz performances after the meal.

To get a seat, make a reservation with one of two dozen participating restaurants. (See list below.) Prices vary, depending on the restaurant, but the event accommodates all price ranges, from a $25 Mexican dinner at Baja Cantina to a $50 Asian fusion meal from Shabu. Java Cow is even offering “kid-friendly” food.

The food, wine and music pairings continue June 21 with the Grande Picnic in the city park, 1354 Park Ave. Regional foods, prepared as gourmet picnic fare, along with wine and live jazz performances will run from 3 to 6 p.m. Tickets are all-inclusive and cost $50. Purchase tickets at Coda Gallery, 804 Main St., or call the Park City Jazz Foundation office at 435-940-1362.
