For those hosting a holiday party or attending one as a guest, Deer Valley’s famed Grocery~Café is offering a range of delicious take-away selections that are sure to delight. Choose from dishes like Niman Ranch Beer Short Ribs, Wild Mushroom Soup, Herd Roasted Fingerling Potato, Caesar Salad and Roasted Butternut Squash. Take-away menu. Orders must be placed by 6 p.m. Dec. 21, and picked up by by 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, Monday, December 24 or Tuesday, December 25 at the Deer Valley Grocery~Café.

Then choose from more than a dozen pies, breads and other delights. Selections include pumpkin pie with gingersnap crust, apple cheddar pie, cranberry linzer tart, chocolate silk pie, pecan pie, eggnog cheesecake, cranberry orange pecan bread, and a tiramisu yule log with meringue mushrooms, chocolate leaves and candied cranberries. During the holidays and New Year’s Eve, the Goldener Hirsch Restaurant will offer nightly specials alongside the regular à la carte menus, which will include items such as Maine lobster, 22-ounce dry aged bone-in rib eye, Maui Nui Axis venison, foie gras with burgundy winter truffles and a selection of domestic and imported caviar with traditional accompaniments.

Park City’s beloved steakhouse is serving a pair of sumptuous three-course dinner on Christmas Eve. Start with your choice of Baby Romaine Caesar salad, wild rice and mushroom soup, or Park City’s best salad bar, followed by an entrée of Snake River Farms slow roasted porkloin cabernet jus with choice of side dish, plus chocolate crème brulee for dessert.  Christmas Eve Special: 3-course prix fixe, $48.75 per guest

The locals’ favorite is serving the classics for Christmas. New Year’s Eve: Five-course prix fixe, $95 per person
Powder’s famed New Year’s Eve celebration returns. The evening opens with caviar blini and oyster, followed by a choice of yellowfin tuna and scallop tartare or beets and goat cheese. Enjoy porcini mushroom consommé and a champagne intermezzo, then an entrée of either venison and veal loin or Chilean sea bass, followed by New Year’s Surprise for dessert featuring Tahitian vanilla, fromage blanc and raspberries.
