Firewood is about the senses. About taste. About the warmth of a meal well made. It’s about experiencing locally sourced seasonal food cooked by wood fire, which enhances its flavor and keeps the connection between food and terrain.
Firewood features New American heirloom cuisine with seasonal menu rotations to incorporate the freshest regional produce. The majority of our dishes are prepared over open flame using chef-selected wood like cedar, cherry and maple to enhance flavors. Chef John Murcko’s vision blends the most primitive of cooking methods—open wood flame—with an innovative menu.
Menu shifts nightly to incorporate the freshest seasonal ingredients—but one thing stays the same, for every dish, every day: everything is cooked over wood fire.
Chef John Murcko is passionate about open flame cooking, and has returned to Park City after a successful career opening more than 25 restaurants in Park City and Sun Valley. Firewood’s decor showcases turn of the century industrial warehouse finishes, reclaimed bricks and timbers, warehouse windows into the kitchen and a special Chef’s table. Firewood also has space to host private parties and events in a separate bar level.
