Chef Zane Holmquist Shares Holiday Favorites on TODAY'S Christmas ShowStein Eriksen Lodge Vice President of Food & Beverage & Corporate Chef Zane Holmquist, returns to the set of NBC’s TODAY Christmas show for the seventh year in a row. Holmquist will prepare a selection of seasonal recipes in celebration of holiday traditions.

Airing Christmas day, Holmquist will share Stein Eriksen Lodge’s classic Maple Nog, Warm Cider Glog, and famous Reindeer Tracks sippers. Small bites to pair with these decadent drinks include Reindeer Tracks Fudge and Candy Cane Fudge, as well as Everything Bagel Popcorn and Cinnamon Ginger Almonds for more savory palates.

As Vice President of Food & Beverage, Holmquist holds the reins of Stein Collection’s award-winning food and beverage operations and continues to establish himself as a prominent leader in the culinary industry. Under his expert leadership, Glitretind Restaurant has maintained the coveted Forbes Four-Star award, Holmquist’s culinary talents grace every aspect of the thoughtful menu creations, featuring locally-sourced, seasonal pairings. Holmquist has been invited to showcase his fare at the renowned James Beard House, and the Glitretind Restaurant has received many highly-acclaimed awards, including the Santé Award, Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, and DiRONA (Distinguished Restaurants of North America Award), among various other national and local accolades.

Holmquist joined the Stein team in 2000 and was quickly promoted to Executive Chef, then promoted again to VP of Food and Beverage Operations, and Corporate Chef. Holmquist has been invited to showcase his work at the renowned James Beard House in 2005, 2017, and 2018. He was a speaker at The Chef’s Garden in 2017 and was the recipient of the Governor’s Culinary Artisan Award, as well as 2017 Chef of the Year by the Utah Restaurant Association. Holmquist oversees the Stein’s externship program, often recruiting chefs from the Culinary Institute of America and other national culinary programs, giving young chefs the opportunity to train and flourish in his kitchens and under his experienced direction. Holmquist has guest lectured at the Culinary Institute of America and served as a member of the Salt Lake Community College’s Alumni Council.
