HIGH WEST TOASTS PIONEER DAY WITH LIMITED RELEASE

OF NEW VALLEY TAN

To properly honor the whiskey originally produced by Mormon pioneers, High West Distillery releases its newest version of Valley Tan in conjunction with the Beehive State’s Pioneer Day on Wednesday, July 24.

A blend of wheat and oat whiskeys aged from 3 to 6 years, Valley Tan is only sold in Utah, fittingly referred to as “Utah’s whiskey” to pay respects to the state’s first trailblazers.

“We love celebrating Utah’s humble beginnings with this homegrown favorite,” Master Distiller Brendan Coyle said. “Valley Tan is distilled from oat and wheat grains, honoring the tradition of Utah whiskey makers before us. This season's Valley Tan brings fresh notes of wildflower honey, dried pineapple, and rich pound cake."

Embark on the Valley Tan journey by wafting scents of wildflower honey, dried pineapple, a hint of piña colada, vanilla tapioca pudding, salted caramel apple, fresh baked pound cake, wet stick of chalk, white daisies, and subtle mint. Taste refreshing flavors of Santa Claus melon, lemon poppyseed quickbread, crisp honey banana waffles, lemon zest, unsweetened coconut, white cake icing, and brown sugar whole oat groats. Valley Tan finishes with notes of fresh pineapple, lingering citrus zing, white pepper, a coastal breeze, and a supple body. This blend’s pour is sipper’s choice – on ice, with a little water, or even “squar,” meaning neat or without water.

Limited quantities of Valley Tan are available for purchase for $49.99 exclusively at High West General Stores in Park City and Wanship locations.
