Summer Dining Guide
Soak Up the Sun With Park City’s Summer Dining Guide
Summer activities abound in our mountain town. We have some of the world’s best mountain biking and hiking trails for outdoor enthusiasts. Plus, our downtown corridor, Main Street, is perfect for strolling our historic streets and catching some rays. Of course, dining alfresco is a must!
If you are looking for awesome activities and Park City summer restaurants this year, we share tips on how to have fun in the sun.
Eating outdoors definitely constitutes an activity. For Parkites, we think spending a sunny afternoon or breezy evening outside at some of the best outdoor dining spots in Park City is summer fun at its finest. When you pair an exciting outdoor activity before or after dining out, then you’ve got a dynamic way to maximize your time in our quaint town.
Twisted Fern
Twisted Fern is a foodie’s dream come true. Chef Adam Ross focuses on seasonal, wholesome ingredients to craft his impressive menus. Plus, its patio is one of the best for outdoor dining in Park City. Fuel up before a scenic biking trip along Wasatch Crest with an artfully prepared light lunch. Wind down after a wildflower hike on Corvair Trail with one of their refreshing cocktails and nourishing meals.
Summer meal must-try: Tomatoes are the epitome of summer eats. Whether you are stopping in for lunch or dinner, order their impressive yet straightforward caprese. It features house-made mozzarella, garden fresh tomatoes, and a drizzle of herbaceous pesto.
APEX at Montage Deer Valley
Located in the breathtaking Deer Valley Resort, APEX at Montage has everything you want in a summer dining destination. The sprawling patio offers unbelievable views, the cuisine is contemporary without being pretentious, and the menus feature the best ingredients from the region. Plus, its prime mountain location makes APEX ideal for an exceptional brunch spot before mountain adventures, mid-day respite from biking or hiking, or a relaxing dinner.
Summer meal must-try: For brunch, nourish your body with APEX’s savory avocado toast, then book a historical hiking tour through the resort.
710 Bodega
After a day roaming through our historic Main Street, enjoy some Park City-style tapas on 710 Bodega’s charming patio. Open for dinner Monday through Saturday, their menu showcases classic Spanish tapas, including imported Jamon Iberico, grilled octopus salad, and Spanish tortilla. If you are looking for a light pre-dinner snack paired with a bottle of Spanish red, this place is for you.
Summer meal must-try: The Bodega paella is cooked traditionally, in a paella pan, with mounds of fresh seafood, chorizo, and juicy chicken. The pan serves six, so bring friends and an appetite!
Shabu
Forget everything you know about Asian fusion before stepping into Shabu. This Asian-inspired eatery combines the tradition and sophistication of Japanese cooking techniques with the spunky, quirky side of Park City. This brother-owned establishment is famous for its sake menu and innovative flavor profiles. With a lovely patio, and the freshest fish around, Shabu is a fantastic spot to dine outdoors with a refreshing and unique meal.
Summer meal must-try: We recommend ordering anything off their unbelievably good sushi menu. However, their stuffed date skewers are so complex and unlike anything we’ve ever tried. Sweet dates get stuffed with pear sausage, wrapped in bacon, and finished with honey hoisin.
Cafe Terigo
For stellar Italian food, a sprawling patio, and a downtown setting, Cafe Terigo is one of our top summer restaurant picks. Enjoy the day, leisurely noshing on earthy grilled artichokes or crispy calamari. During the evening hours, their twinkling cafe lights come on, and you feel like you’re dining in an Italian villa enjoying classic eats.
Summer meal must-try: Explore Union Pacific Rail Trail, which winds along our old railroad line. Before heading out, grab curbside from Cafe Terigo’s lunch menu and stop to have a picnic on the trail.
Handle
Handle serves up contemporary American cuisine at its finest. This Park City staple is renowned for seasonal ingredients, scratch cooking, and locally sourced products. Their menu changes often, but a few standouts have been hamachi crudo with charred lemon vinaigrette and fried chicken with smoked vegetables.
Summer meal must-try: For an authentic summer meal experience, ask your server for their recommendations on the most iconic Park City ingredients and dishes offered at Handle.
