Alpine Distillery crafts four different types of premium whisky (Alpine American, Utah Straight Bourbon, Alpine Bourbon, Alpine Triple Oak) and two varieties of gin (Alpine and Alpine Lake Lily) that are 100 percent vapor extracted from naturally gluten-free, corn ethanol.
This local Utah distillery blends of Kentucky heritage distilling principles and quality grains to create award-winning spirits. Alpine has been recognized as “Gin of the Year” in London and three times in USA Today’s Top Gin Distiller. Additionally, Alpine has implemented sustainable practices that lead “Green Business of the Year” recognition from Recycle Utah.
In 2016, Rob and Sara Sergent launched Alpine Distilling with the ambition to promote American distilling in combination with supreme ingredients, techniques, and practices. Alpine Distilling’s founding philosophy is “To bring curated spirits that echo the passion of our mountain community to discerning palettes around the world.”

The most decorated botanical distiller in the country. Her botanicals are sourced from around the world and treated to 100% vapor extraction at her proprietary formula of “proof, pressure, and speed” to craft Gin that has been awarded "Gin of the Year" in London, 3x Top Gin Distillery by USA Today, “Best in Class” at the TAG Awards Las Vegas, Double Golds at Women Wine & Spirits in London, SIP Awards California and TOP50 in New York. In addition, she has crafted botanical spirits for Stein Eriksen Lodge, St. Regis Deer Valley, Auberge Properties, and Capital One.
Sara made her first gin in Edinburgh, Scotland, and followed that with gin distilling at Alpine Distilling. Sara shares her botanical expertise through Alpine's custom Gin Experience in the creation of countless gins that has been written in Forbes, Vogue, Travel+Leisure, Bella Magazine, Wine Enthusiast, Cosmopolitan, Men’s Journal, Food Network, Hotels Magazine, Outside, and on BRAVO TV & PBS.

After a career which included Director of Game-day operations for the NFL with the New Orleans Saints and 15 years as an executive in the medical device sector with Johnson & Johnson as the VP of Innovation, Col. Sergent founded Alpine Distilling in 2016. In 2018 he opened the Alpine Pie Bar as an extension of Alpine Distilling’s living room. The lounge has since expanded into the Social Aid & Pleasure Club showcasing the Alpine portfolio of spirits and creating a space for guests to relax with friends, enjoy curated cocktails, and celebrate Park City culture. 
 
Col. Sergent creates the highly decorated whiskey portfolio, with flavor profiles, aroma and proof that are rooted in his Kentucky family history. Grains are sourced from the finest U.S. farms, and Kentucky yeast is used to ensure that only the highest quality spirit is created. Sergent distills on an American Pot Still and then ages in toasted, American Oak barrels. He prepares two primary mashbills: a “Wheated Bourbon” of Corn/Wheat/Barley blend, and a “Single Malt” from 100% Malted Barley. Sergent works closely with two cooperages for Alpine’s Appalachian Oak and Arkansas Oak barrels, with select toasting & char levels adjusted for his preference. Sergent was the only American Distiller to represent the United States at the annual Worldwide Distilled Spirits Conference held in Edinburgh, Scotland as the only US whiskey distillery presenting.

Juniper, Coriander, Angelica Root, Cardamom, Ginger Root, Orange Peel and Lemon Peel are sourced from the finest locations for our specific flavor demands. Juniper from Croatia, Coriander from Eqypt, Angelica Root from France, Cardamom from India, Ginger from Guatemala and Orange & Lemon from the US. Our custom built vapor extraction still allows for a proprietary balance of pressure and speed to pull only the chosen elements to produce a complex yet light, beautifully balanced botanical spirit.
Tasting Notes:
  • Nose: Lemon, orange blossom, sweet, exotic spices, light pepper, honey and crisp, fresh fruit peel.
  • Palate: Indian spices, light juniper notes, white pepper, sweet orange, mint, cherry.
  • Finish: Elegant juniper tannins, smooth, spicy, refreshing, clean.
This spirit is a master stroke of technique, botanical blend and design. The tasting journey celebrates each stage of aroma and taste for a full organoleptic experience that delights and serves beautifully as the foundation for outstanding cocktail creation.

  • Nose: Caramel, toffee, butterscotch, vanilla, rich honey, sticky bun, baked goods, banana, strawberry, pear, citrus, light cinnamon, cloves, spice, oak.
  • Palate: Caramel, butterscotch, butter, honey, orange blossom honey, glazed donut, dried fruit, orange peel, cherry, banana, ginger, oats, light toast, toasted almond, sweet mint, clove, spicy, black pepper, smoke, woody, oak, port wine, velvety, creamy mouthfeel.

Lafayette Spiced Bourbon Whiskey & Spicy Lafayette Bourbon

A blend of Kentucky Bourbon with Stone Fruit & Cinnamon brings a delightful balance of sweet and spice to your cocktail creation - or, for many, the perfect flask whiskey.
The Spicy version adds a Thai Chili Pepper to the profile and is produced on a limited-run series.
The history of spiced whiskies date back to the earliest days of Kentucky distilling and this Stone Fruit interpretation has won accolades in numerous international tasting competitions include the Consumer Choice Award at SIP and 2x “Most Innovative New Whiskey” in London and New York.
